Sort of like the difference between Adobe CS6 and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Lastly, with Revit 2021, Autodesk has changed how the software is activated.

Is that dangerous? It hasn't hurt me yet, but who knows? I don't know if it's installing anything else on my machine. I don't know what it's doing behind the scenes. I admit, I've played with it on my home computer. If I recall correctly, the keygen crack is called XForce, or something like that. I guess what I find most sketchy, is using the actual crack keygen software. It would suck to lose access to your workhorse application. So I guess that's a risk, if you're on a deadline, or need to produce something by a given day. I'm not exactly how it happens, but one day, that version of revit just stops working. So perhaps that's not dangerous.įrom my limited experience with the cracked revit software, autodesk has a way of shutting down your access to the cracked software. I imagine they are more concerned with offices that are using cracked software to generate professional work. I doubt autodesk will come after you, if you are a student / single user, trying to learn the software.
